Ice

A buddy of mine made a great point the other day about "the ice bucket challenge."  Much of these challenges here in Southern California are happening in the middle of a drought.  It's great that you support ALS, if you even know what that is, but don't forget that ice is still water.

With that said, not every challenge has gone well.

In fact, some challenges have ranged from comedy to disaster.

More importantly, the money can often times go to embryonic stem cell research, which I don't support.  Anyone with a bit of knowledge on the current research knows that is just a waste of money when all the promising results are coming from non-baby killing methods of gathering cells.

So, while I personally know people who have died, and are dying from this terrible disease, I don't think giving money to the current ALS foundation is the right answer.
